Let’s make a plan for applications.

My core program has 3 Phases, and below is a brief outline of the major content I’ll cover with you. It’s important to understand ideally our work together has an 18 - 20 month horizon. The best, most complete plan has us starting after Labor Day (junior year) and ending on Decision Day (May 1) of the following year (senior year).

Each Phase has 4 sessions or lessons, and I ask you to commit to my services by phase — that is you commit to 4 sessions at a time. However, please know I can accommodate you whenever you start the process, simply by aligning our work with the best place for us to connect on your application journey. Know your schools? Great, let’s start in the spring of junior year. Want guidance all the way through? Ok, let’s start before Halloween your junior year. Finished with everything, but you want decision advice? Let’s pick up around Indigenous Peoples’ Day your senior year.

Phase I

  • we build your list with three factors in mind: (1) region; (2) size; (3) acceptance: yield

  • we create a standardized testing plan (with preparation goals)

  • we strategize your total high school involvement (sports & activities)

  • we strategize your community commitments

  • we discuss some career/life goals (majors and/or fields of study)

Phase II

  • we act on your list!

  • build a personal, research-based spreadsheet of schools with Common Data Set information

  • begin your application(s) by sections

  • discuss, draft, revise your essay(s)

Phase III

  • strategize your decision horizon

  • plot the sequence of your application submissions

  • discuss the FAFSA and financial aid generally

  • Post applications support, including deferrals, waitlists, and your final college selection

Pricing, along with a detailed description of session content for each Phase, is available by email upon request.
